Hey Ladies,
This week is just one of those weeks where there just isnt enough hours in the day!  Anyway while I was listening to internet radio at work I heard a song a liked by an artist I never heard of so I decided to further investigate.. His name is Tyler Toliver and he's an active duty Marine and I think his music is fantastic.  You can go to his chat page and listen to a bunch of his songs.  My favorites are "Welcome to the Weekend", "Live Our Dream", and "Country Girl" but I honestly enjoy all the songs on his playlist. Lemme know what you think!

Houston Anyone?

Has anyone ever been to or lived in Houston? We are going there this weekend and I was hoping to  get some suggestions as to what to do, see and eat.

One Last Plea

I promise I won't have anymore posts like these (until later in the year for our next fundraising race) becasue I don't liek to bug people but here we go...

Our big race in Houston is only 10 days days away so here is your last chance to help us out with our fundraising.  We are running the Houston Marathon/ Half Marathon in honor of our friend who lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis in May 2010. 

We partnered with the race's Run for a Reason campaign to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  We have raised $1,113.33 and are the 5th highest fundraiser.  The Cystic Fibrosis foundation has raised $18,273 of their $20,000 goal so please help us help them!

Overall we had a great time here. My recommendation go on a Sunday or right as the park opens at 9am, way less crowded. When we were leaving that part of the park they were giving people time cards as  to when they could come back!

Flasback (a bit) November 2010- Florida, Shades of Green, Universal Studios and Wine!

Wow I got so caught up in the holidays that I forgot to share with you all our trip to Florida.  We went to spend Thanksgiving with the hubs' grandparents (both sets) and he got me a pass to Universal Studios and Harry Potter World(!!!!!!) for my birthday.  I was excited to see the grandparents and explore the parks.

We spent two days at the parks and we stayed at Shades of Green for one night. The accommodations were great and I would recommended it to anyone!  For those of you who don't know you pay based on  your rank and you can also sponsor civilian families to join you.

On our way back to the grandparents house we stopped at an amazing winery called Keel and Curley.
We sampled all of their wines for $5 (which was taken off the amount of the wine we purchased) and had a great time. The staff was awesome and their wine is very fruity!

2011 The year of Running

So as I told all of you before my goal is to run more this year.  Well I have suckered my friend Emily into trying it out also.  She has done some 5ks and 10ks with Dan and I before, and this year she decided to sign up for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon with us .....and blog about it.  So please check it out and leave her some encouragement :)!
